KPI or Key Performance Indicator can be defined as a practical and objective measurement of progress, either:
- Towards a predetermined goal, or
- Against a required standard of performance
We also all know our KPIs need to be SMART.
- Specific
- Measurable
- Attainable
- Relevant
- Time-Based
But also think about the outcome you are looking for in your Supply Chain.

Think about what is going wrong, and pick KPIs that will help you identify problems and improve performance. It might be receipting accuracy, time it takes to putway stock, compliance with order, etc
