Inspirational Leadership is What Drives Our Team
Logistics Bureau’s team of logistics and supply chain consultants in Thailand are highly motivated, experienced, and knowledgeable. Those qualities drive our success—and the trust of our regular clients.

But even a self-motivated team needs inspirational leadership, and the two gentlemen at the helm of our business, have been inspiring our consulting team, and logistics professionals around the world, for more than 20 years. Here’s a quick introduction to them both:

Rob O’Byrne

Owner and Group CEO

Rob’s passion for helping people and businesses grow and improve is what compelled him to launch Logistics Bureau and several other related businesses.

David Riddle

Deputy Group CEO

David joined our company back in 2001 after relocating from the UK to Australia. Before that, he spent nine years in the United Kingdom’s finance sector.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Logistics Bureau is not a familiar name to me. How do you market your services?

We’ve always taken a low-key approach to marketing. Well over half of our work is made up of repeat business from clients who know us well. Around 30% is new business arising from referrals. Our existing customers tend to recommend us to their peers. A mere 5% of our business originates from inbound enquiries.

2. What fee structures do you apply to your service provision?

We can agree fees on a fixed basis or at a daily rate agreed with the client. Both methods are popular with our clients. The daily rate often works well for implementation support and similar projects, due to the flexibility in the number of consultant-days we provide. For other projects, a fixed fee, based on an agreed outcome and agreed project scope, is often the preferred client choice.

3. How are your fees calculated?

First, we perform careful scoping and planning of your project. It’s important to us that everyone’s expectations are clear before we submit our proposal. Detailed planning enables us to know what resources will be necessary to achieve your objectives.

The next step is to quantify the resources needed and establish project time lines. If necessary, we will execute two or three iterations of a proposal, to make sure we get it right. However, all this detailed planning and prep comes at no cost to the customer. We shoulder the cost for that because the time and effort of planning is what allows us to provide a guarantee of positive results.

4. Do you work with us on site, or remotely?

Since the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic, we have elected to do more of our work remotely, as mentioned earlier on this page. However, much depends on the actual nature of your project. We have the resources and flexibility to work either at your business location in Thailand, or to combine on-site and remote working. For many projects we are now also able to work 100% remotely.

5. Can you ensure meaningful value in return for your fees?

We know that this is typically one of the most pressing questions from our clients before they engage us. It’s especially relevant if your company has not hired logistics and supply chain consultants before.

The following quote, by our CEO and founder, Rob O’Byrne, should answer that question for you and dispel any concerns you might have:

“I offer you my personal assurance, that at Logistics Bureau, you will. The majority of our consulting assignments result in a payback for the client within six months. That’s why we have loyal customers, many of whom have been with us since we launched our business in July 1997.”
