Rob is the Group CEO and Founder of Logistics Bureau. His long-standing passion for helping business leaders to succeed is what inspired him to create the company, and several other businesses that focus on supply chain, business growth, and education.

David Riddle

Deputy Group CEO

Following a nine-year career in the UK’s finance sector, David immigrated to Australia. Following his arrival down-under, he joined Logistics Bureau and has been helping Rob to shape the company’s success ever since.

1. This is the first time I’ve heard of Logistics Bureau. What is your marketing approach?

We take a low-profile marketing approach, with more than 60% of our business arising from repeat engagements with existing clients. Another 30% of our work originates from referrals, and a further small percentage comes from inbound enquiries.

2. How are your fees structured?

We offer our clients a choice of agreed daily rates or fixed fees. Typically, the daily rate is applied to implementation support projects and similar. This provides the client with flexibility relating to the number of days support from our consultants. Alternatively, the fixed fee option is available, with fees calculated for the effort and resources required to meet an agreed project scope and objective.

3. And how do you calculate those fees?

Our fee calculations commence with careful planning and scoping of your project. It’s vital for us to ensure that everybody’s expectations are clear and aligned.

Next we quantify the required resources and calculate project time lines. If necessary, we will execute two or three iterations of a proposal. If that seems very involved, the reason is because we provide a guarantee of the results of our engagement.

Therefore, we insist on getting everything absolutely right when it comes to planning and fee determination. However, we absorb the costs of this detailed planning, so it will not be an expense for your business to shoulder.

4. Do you work with us remotely, or on site in our business?

Much will depend on the needs and nature of your project. We have the resources and flexibility to work either at your business location in the GCC, or to execute a mix of on-site and remote working. For many projects we now have the capabilities to help you by using a totally remote approach—which might be beneficial while COVID-19 is still creating the need for travel and movement restrictions and social distancing practices.

5. Will we receive true value in return for the consulting fees we pay?
