Today is a Good Day. In fact a Great Day!
Why is today such a good day? No, not because it’s Friday 🙂
Because today we helped 154,501 people! That’s you and me, and a few other people. I’ll explain below.
You see, when anyone interacts with us here at the Logistics Bureau Group we really appreciate it. And we give on their behalf to a whole range of worthy causes around the World.
And today there was a mass of interaction! It’s invoicing day!
When people give of their time and their energy, or engage with us commercially we give on their behalf. That engagement can be via:
- Our consulting services
- Our performance Benchmarking services
- Our Education programs
- Attending our free webinars and seminars
- Buying our books
- Or merely sharing / liking / tweeting some of the information on this website.
When any of those things happen, it’s a great excuse to give! Not that we should need any excuse of course.
Because if you have never experienced the joys of giving, you should. Giving to those in need, or giving a helping hand to someone is so much more rewarding than receiving something ourselves. Strange isn’t it?
So perhaps by being really focused on our next giving milestones, we’re actually being selfish? LOL. I hope not. We’ve just passed our milestone of 2 million giving impacts, and today we’re well on our way to the next milestone of 3 million. I’ll tell you why……
I’ve been overseas for 10 days and I’ve arrived back just at a time when lots of client projects have been completed. And when projects are completed and the final invoice is sent to the client, something really great happens.
We get to choose a worthy cause that we think will resonate with our client, and part of our revenue goes to that worthy cause. Then my support team prepares a Certificate of Appreciation, to be mailed out with the final invoice. This explains to the client all about the Gift that their custom has allowed us to pass on.
And today there were a heap of final invoices. So many in fact, that we got to help over 154,000 people around the World!
I found some lovely quotes on the topic of giving…..
“It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.”
― Mother Teresa
“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”
― Charles Dickens
“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”
― Winston S. Churchill
“For it is in giving that we receive.”
― Francis of Assisi
“There is no better exercise for your heart than reaching down and helping to lift someone up”
― Bernard Meltzer
So thank YOU
a) for reading this and
b) for being a part of our giving program…..
