Our New Diagnostic Services with 100% Remote Delivery

While Logistics Bureau will be pleased to work with your business team at your location in Dubai, the COVID-19 crisis presents considerable challenges for on-site professional services due to travel and movement restrictions.

Against that background, we have developed a selection of innovative remote consulting solutions to help you achieve logistics and supply chain improvement without the need for an on-site consulting team.

The following diagnostic tools and services are available to you now, using a 100% remote consulting approach, but with our traditional attention to detail, and customised to the needs of your organisation:

  • Cost to serve: We’ll help you identify the products, processes, and customers that are negatively impacting your profits, and resolve the causes.
  • Inventory management: We can help you identify gaps in your IM processes—and fix them.
  • Safety stock reduction: Are you sure your enterprise is running at optimised levels of safety inventory? We can help you unlock opportunities to reduce those levels.
  • Demand forecasting: Does a 5% increase in forecasting accuracy sound good? We can assist you to achieve it.
  • Distribution network optimisation: Using digital online analytics tools, collaborative applications, and communication solutions, we’ll work with you to model and optimise your network.
  • Warehouse performance: A 100% remote health check on your warehousing solutions to help you improve productivity, running cost, and service.

The above list of remote services and solutions is not exhaustive, so please feel free to talk with us about how our logistics and supply chain consultants can help you remotely, without the need to visit your facilities in the United Arab Emirates.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. I haven’t heard of Logistics Bureau Before. How do your market your services?

Our marketing activities are low key, with a large proportion of our work—more than 60%—comprising repeat business from customers who know and trust us. Many of those customers also refer other businesses to us, and referrals generate some 30% of our new business, with the remainder originating from inbound enquiries.

2. How are your fees structured?

We can agree to bill you at an agreed daily rate, or on a fixed-fee basis. If your project comprises implementation support, for example, the daily rate can work well as it allows for flexibility in the number of days of consultant support, we provide. Alternatively, the fixed fee structure involves agreeing a total figure for an agreed project scope and outcome.

3. How do you calculate the fees?

As we guarantee the results of any work we do for you, we’re very careful to scope and plan your project in detail. Our fees are calculated according to the resource requirements and timelines that we establish prior to delivering a proposal to you.

We consider it essential to make sure everyone involved in the project is aligned on expectations, which is why, if necessary, we will run through several iterations of a proposal, to ensure we get it correct. However, all preparation is conducted at our own expense, and we pass none of the planning costs on to you.

4. Do you work with us on site, or remotely?

Since the Coronavirus pandemic forced governments to implement travel and movement restrictions and other measures to prevent virus transmission, it has become necessary for services like ours to adapt.

We responded by developing new logistics and supply chain consulting capabilities, enabling us to support your business without a physical presence at your business locations in the UAE.

Our 100% remote services keep your managers and staff, and our consultants safe from the risks of Coronavirus. They also offer an affordable way to engage our team and reduce the logistics challenges involved in your project or program.

Nevertheless, we are also able to work on site with your team if necessary, and have the flexibility and resources to combine remote and on-site consulting support.

5. Will my company or organisation receive real value in return for your consulting fees?

To answer that question, which is often on the lips of business leaders who have not worked with external consultants before, our CEO, Rob O’Byrne provided a quote that should also help to allay any concerns you might have. Here is what he says:

“I offer you my personal assurance, that at Logistics Bureau, you will. The majority of our consulting assignments result in a payback for the client within six months. That’s why we have loyal customers, many of whom have been with us since we launched our business in July 1997.”
