Kevin DonnellyThis paper presents the results of an international logistics study conducted by Kevin Donnelly for the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) secretariat in Singapore, focusing on the management skills required to operate intermodal logistics facilities throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The paper summarises the highly relevant findings as they relate to the development of logistics management skill sets for Australian logistics managers, particularly as the intermodal task grows throughout the economy.

Rob O'Byrne - Logistics Bureau

Understanding the essential aspects of Supply Chain Management and their impact on the bottom line is critical for any CEO. With the potential to reduce Supply Chain costs by up to 25%, CEO’s need to appreciate the ‘hard questions’ that they should be asking of their Supply Chain and Logistics Managers.

Using easy to understand examples and case studies from the areas of customer service, inventory management, distribution network design and cost to serve, the ‘lid is taken off’ many of the myths about the Supply Chain. The road to real competitive advantage by leveraging Supply Chain Management will be identified.
